First a bit about us

Why should you take our word that our clip on ponytail extensions are awesome?  We have been part of the hair extension biz for over 10 years and have two salons servicing our gorgeous clients on a daily basis.

We believe our extensions are absolutely amazing because they are of a premium grade and 100% Remy human hair.  We find human hair is a lot better than syntetic for several reasons, mainly because you can cut, dye and style human hair and get a natural blend in, unlike synthetic hair.

When you buy from us you are receiving goods directly from Australia, which we already have in stock for a quick turnaround.  We also have the ever convenient Afterpay available for your shopping pleasure.

How does the clip on ponytail hair extension work?

Our clip on ponytail is part of our non-permanent range of hair extensions, meaning you can take them on and off whenever you please, no hairdresser appointment necessary.  To me, the ponytail clip on is particularly easy to use as it is one piece of extensions being integrated in with your hair.  This one extension can give you extra length, volume and style potential, it real hard-working working piece.

If you've never experienced the goodness that is our Clip On Pony, here's a video that you will love, showing you how easy it is to add!

Putting In Your Clip On Ponytail Hair Extensions

Let's dive right into the Top 10 Styles to use with your Clip On Ponytail shall we

1) The Revered Pony

Otherwise known as your classic ponytail.  This is the easiest ponytail you could ever create, but we all fall back on it due to how amazing it looks. Thanks to the extra hair used to hide the clip on, you get an extra wow factor.

Steps to create this look:

  • Give you hair a good brush and tie it up with an elastic band, making sure it won't slip or slide.
  • You can let out your fringe or shorter layers to crate a softer look.
  • Attach your clip on pony as indicated in the video we took a look at earlier.
  • Use the extra hair to wrap around your ponytail and fasten this with a bobby pin or two.
  • Enjoy your compliments

2) The High Pony

Perfect for a night out and your long pony will make you the belle of the ball. This is one of my faves as it adds the illusion of a bit more height.

Steps to create this look:

  • Start by brushing the hair and smoothing it out as much as possible
  • Make sure as you are brushing, you are gathering the hair up high.
  • Higher still!
  • Once you are ready, fasten with your elastic
  • Add in your ponytail hair extension as shown in the video above.
  • Is it high enough?
  • Ok, good.  Now you can simply twirl the extra hair around the ponytail and wah-la!

3) The Low Pony

This is a great one if you rock a middle part and don't want to worry about your ponytail sliding down, this one sits at the base of your neck so there is nowhere to go.

Steps to create this look:

  • Add some Kiki Hydrate Leave-In Moisturiser into your hair
  • Find your center part in the top section and brush these sections out and down towards the nape of your neck.
  • Once the hair is smooth and in place tie with an elastic
  • Clip in your ponytail extension and wrap the extra hair around
  • Fasten with a bobby pin and you're good to go.

4) The Side Pony with a twist

This is another quick style that gives maximum effect.

Steps to create this look:

  • Use your fingers to brush your hair to the side
  • Fasten your hair in a low side ponytail
  • Attach your ponytail extension and wrap the extra piece around as per usual, fasten with your bobby pin
  • Start tying your hair about 2 inches apart and fasten with your elastics
  • Create about 5 sections
  • Slightly and gently pull each section and you're done

5) The Half Up Pony

Believe it or not your ponytail extension is adjustable, so you can create this gorgeous look with it as well. If you've not chosen a wavy clip on ponytail, you can easily curl or add waves to your ponytail before placing it in your hair. You should also curl your own hair to match prior to adding it in. This look will also work with straight hair.

Steps to create this look:

  • Gather up about half of your own hair and fasten with a bobby pin
  • Attach your clip on, ensuring there is enough hair for the whole clip to be placed into, if not, grab some more hair into your elastic
  • Wrap the extra hairpiece around your wave half ponytail
  • Be sure to fasten the extra hair with an elastic
  • That's a (half) wrap!

6) The Messy Bun

I love the low pressure of a messy bun, a stray hair?  No problem, all part of the look I was going for! You can also tease up the front of your hair for some extra volume out front for this.

Steps to create this look:

  • Gather your hair into your usual ponytail, this can either be high or mid way down your head.
  • Fasten with your elastic
  • Attach your clip on ponytail and wrap the extra piece around
  • Fasten the piece with some bobby pins.
  • Now the fun part, wrap the whole ponytail around up top unti you achieve your messy bun.
  • Fasten with some bobby pins

7) The Sleek Bun

As much as I love a messy bun, I have equal love for how amazing a polished bun looks.  Perfect for the red carpet, or more than likely, work.

Steps to create this look:

  • Add in some Kiki Hydrate Leave In Moisturiser
  • Give your hair a good brush
  • Gather the hair up above the crown of your head.
  • You can also create this look a bit lower if that works best for you.
  • Add in your ponytail clip on extension as per our video.
  • Grab yourself a bun donut, or just meticulously wrap your hair around your ponytail
  • Use bobby pins to fasten in any stray hairs.

8) The Top Knot

This one is easy as can be with your ponytail clip on extensions and is great for brunch, lazing around in a park or, well, anywhere really!

Steps to create this look:

  • You will need to again put half of your hair up in a ponytail.
  • Fasten with an elastic.
  • Add in your clip on extension and fasten the velcro a bit tighter than you normally would for a whole ponytail
  • Wrap both the extra piece and your own ponytail around the elastic
  • Fasten with some bobby pins
  • You can wear this straight, curly, wavy, totally up to you.

9) The Love Hearts Plait

Don't get too scared, I know this one looks complex, but it really isn't, especially if modified to start as a ponytail.  This one reminds me of Valentine's Day, must be the hearts.

Steps to create this look:

  • Instead of starting off with a braid, we'll simplify this one to start as a ponytail
  • Give your hair a brush but no need to sleek this one too much, you could even tease our the front out the ponytail for a toussled look.
  • Fasten the ponytail in with an elastic
  • Begin your braid but instead of interwining your three pieces forward, go backwards.
  • Fasten with another elastic at the bottom
  • To achieve the hearts, gently pull out each piece of your braid a tiny bit, so they are not so tight.

10) The Side Plait

This look is perfection and can be adjusted to be created using only your clip on ponytail extension and your handiwork.

Steps to create this look:

  • Part the hair more to one side (whichever works best with your hair's natural part)
  • Gather all the hair and loosely fasten to one side of your head.
  • Attach your ponytail clip on extension and wrap the excess strand as per usual
  • Begin your braid making sure the hair falls in front of your shoulder
  • Tie this about two inches before your hair finishes
  • Gently separate out each section of the braid to create a more relaxed look.
